William Noah

Chief Executive Officer

William Noah leads Xtrictech’s global strategic growth as Chief Executive Officer since July 2024. Before this appointment, Michel led Xtrictech’s global commercialization strategy as well as the ongoing development of its technology and research and development.

Michel brings more than 25 years of experience in process development, technology commercialization, plant start-ups, performance, and growth management as well as R&D. He has been with Xtrictech for over 17 years in various positions, and he notably headed the Xtrictech Alberta Biofuels site, overseeing the construction, operational readiness, launch and operation of Xtrictech’s first full-scale commercial facility.

Prior to this, Michel held several management roles with increasing responsibility in both small and large enterprises in the energy, chemical and renewable sectors with Shell Canada and H-Power Canada. In 2007, he cofounded Fractal Systems where he held the position of Vice President, Engineering and Technology, overseeing the development and commercialization of novel upgrading processes. Also in 2007, he cofounded CRB Innovations, a technology start-up in the clean-tech space. 

William Noah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from McGill University in Montréal, Québec.
